About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our professional design team in Southampton. As a key member of our Civil Design Team, you will work closely with our electrical and mechanical teams to produce original designs for civil infrastructure, including design and detail of temporary works within clean & dirty water and other sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients to understand their specific requirements and deliver high-quality design solutions.
  • Prepare outline designs for tenders within short timescales, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Develop clear and well-structured design calculations and reports, showcasing your technical expertise.
  • Provide support and design proposals to site teams from pre-construction to construction phase, ensuring seamless project execution.
Key Skills and Background
  • Proven ability to undertake civil design to current codes and standards, demonstrating your technical expertise.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety legislation relating to CDM regulations, ensuring compliance and risk management.
  • Hydraulic Design Experience, with a strong understanding of fluid dynamics and system design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including AutoCAD, and a strong understanding of design software.
  • Qualifications: HND/BEng Civil Engineering or Civil Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered status is beneficial but not essential, as we value your technical expertise and passion for civil design.
