Trant Engineering Limited is seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our professional design team in Southampton. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for producing original designs for civil infrastructure, including design and detail of temporary works within clean & dirty water and other sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients to understand their specific requirements
  • Prepare outline designs for tenders within short timescales
  • Develop clear and well-structured design calculations and reports
  • Provide support and design proposals to site teams from pre-construction to construction phase

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to undertake civil design to current codes and standards
  • Thorough knowledge of safety legislation relating to CDM regulations
  • Hydraulic Design Experience
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages, understanding of AutoCAD
  • Qualifications:
  • HND/BEng Civil Engineering or Civil Structural Engineering or by experience
  • Chartered status would be beneficial but not essential
