Geriatrician Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Geriatrician to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our geriatric services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert geriatric care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex medical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies.
- Participate in educational activities, including teaching and training of medical students and junior doctors.
- Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- MRCP (UK) or equivalent qualification.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for geriatric medicine and general internal medicine.
- Extensive medical experience at registrar or consultant level, with competency to manage on-call emergencies at senior level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to lead, motivate, and work within a multi-disciplinary team.
