About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatrician to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and leading our geriatric medicine service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert medical care to patients with complex geriatric needs
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of our geriatric medicine service and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent qualification
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for geriatric medicine and general internal medicine
  • Extensive medical experience at registrar or consultant level
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
