Job Title: FLT Counterbalance Driver

Barker Ross is seeking a skilled FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our team at a client-based facility in Falkirk.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience operating a forklift in a factory environment and be comfortable working with 5t and 7t counterbalance forklifts and 35t straddle carriers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operating forklifts to move materials and products within the factory and external yard.
  • Offloading deliveries, including steel coils and packs of sheet material.
  • Loading coils onto roll formers and lifting packs of components to storage areas.
  • Performing daily and weekly maintenance checks on forklifts and completing check sheets.
  • Assisting with general duties in the factory when the forklift is not in use.

The successful candidate will also be required to:

  • Work as part of a busy team and be self-motivated, conscientious, and enthusiastic.
  • Have good timekeeping and attendance and be keen, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Be physically fit and have no underlying musculoskeletal issues.
  • Have previous experience as a forklift operator, with a minimum of 5 years.

Barker Ross offers a competitive hourly rate of 14 and a comprehensive benefits package, including manual handling training, method statements, and risk assessments. Uniforms, PPE, and hand tools are also provided.
