Warehouse Storeperson

This role requires an applicant who enjoys working as part of a team - regularly liaising with the Warehouse and Transport Manager, Warehouse Operatives and Drivers to ensure work is always carried out safely and efficiently.

**General role and responsibilities**:

- daily loading of vehicles for deliveries, ensuring goods are safely and securely loaded
- unloading of goods received into stock from suppliers
- completing all related paperwork for incoming and outgoing goods
- keeping stock in good, tidy order and maintaining the layout of stock in the warehouse
- keeping the warehouse and yard clean and tidy
- maintaining an excellent knowledge of all brands and products we stock
- rotation of old stock
- reporting any damaged stock, incorrect or missing items from deliveries
- participate in regular stocktakes
- preparation of customer orders
- greet and serve collection customers
- liaise with sales team
- ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times

**Essential skills**:

- physically fit, able to deal with heavy lifting
- ability to work well as part of a team or on their own using own initiative
- responsible and methodical attitude to work
- good attention to detail and good timekeeping
- knowledge of health and safety and manual handling procedures
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence - this would be desirable but not a dealbreaker
