Care and Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team in Dereham. As a valued member of our team, you will provide person-centred care and support to adults with learning disabilities, helping them live fulfilling lives. Your day-to-day tasks will involve assisting with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and engaging residents in activities that enhance their mental and physical well-being.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in social care or gain experience working with adults with learning disabilities.
You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualised care plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and using the toilet
- Maintaining residents' privacy and dignity at all times
- Supporting residents with mobility issues and physical disabilities
- Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes to their health
- Staying updated on residents' care plans and daily notes
- Engaging residents in activities to promote mental and physical well-being
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in residents' living areas
- Serving meals and assisting residents who need help eating
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 months' experience working in a similar role
- A full driving license (ideally)
- The ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
