Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Hygienist to join our team at the Royal Navy. As an Occupational Hygienist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of Defence personnel by conducting surveys, trials, and providing expert advice on occupational hygiene matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys and trials to establish safe systems of work
  • Provide expert advice on occupational hygiene matters to Defence personnel
  • Manage a small team of occupational hygienists
  • Develop and implement occupational hygiene policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating risks
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
Requirements
  • Hold a Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (CertOH/ICertOH) or an IOHA-accredited professional qualification
  • Have a good understanding of occupational hygiene principles and practices
  • Be able to communicate effectively with Defence personnel at all levels
  • Have experience in conducting surveys and trials
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
