Job Summary:

CV-Library is seeking a highly skilled Operating Department Practitioner to join our Theatre team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will support the delivery of high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our 'people caring for people' ethos.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and operating theatre staff during surgical procedures, ensuring that all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, administer local anesthesia, and monitor vital signs during procedures.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration with no restrictions or conditions
  • Surgical scrub experience within orthopaedics, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligaments
  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) desirable but not essential
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • A warm, considerate, and empathetic character
