Protecting Scotland's Water Resources

At Scottish Water, we're committed to safeguarding Scotland's most precious natural resource. As a Sampling Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our water supply.

As part of our Field Response team, you'll be responsible for collecting, processing, and delivering water samples to check their quality. Your primary focus will be on lead and post-repair sampling, visiting customer properties and locations impacted by repairs.

You'll need to have a keen eye for detail, ensuring accurate measurements are taken and all procedures are followed diligently. Many of our procedures are accredited by UKAS, so you'll need to be meticulous in your work.

As a representative of Scottish Water, you'll be out and about collecting samples, interacting with customers, and working independently to support the team's success.

Requirements

You'll need a full, clean driving licence to operate our branded vans, which you'll be able to take home. Most days, you'll work to a schedule, but you'll need to be flexible for occasional logistical challenges or reactive jobs.

You should be goals-focused, always looking for ways to help the team meet daily and weekly targets. High standards, an openness to learn, and a 'can-do' attitude are essential for this role.
