Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Behaviours of concern, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Epilepsy and Complex Needs.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and household activities.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals using various methods of communication.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of support plans.
  • Assist with medication administration and ordering, receiving, storing, and administering medication.
  • Contribute to the planning and running of day-to-day events in the service.
  • Record and complete relevant documentation.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting individuals with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or Challenging Behaviour.
  • Good basic comprehension of English language, including basic literacy and numerical skills.
  • Ongoing commitment to personal development and training.

About Your Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be supporting individuals with complex needs, providing a fulfilling environment where clients can develop to their full potential.

You will also undertake delegated supervisory management responsibilities and provide leadership to less experienced staff to ensure the development of best care practice and optimal outcomes for clients.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 3 or substantial experience of working in a similar environment.
  • Registration for Social Care Wales desirable.
