Job Summary

This is a fixed-term/secondment position for 31st May 2025, supporting the GP Training School with comprehensive administrative tasks.

The post holder will provide administrative support to the GP Training Team, including planning and delivery of recruitment, ARCPs, and training processes for GP specialty trainees and GP trainers.

The post holder will also support the GP Training Team in the planning and delivery of GP Induction and Refresher placements for qualified GPs wishing to return to work in the NHS.

The post holder will work to strict deadlines, adhering to national and local policies and processes for GP Training.

This post may be extended or made permanent at the end of the fixed term/secondment period, depending on available funding and business needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Organize the administration of GP Trainee ARCP Panel dates.
  • Screen GP trainee eportfolios prior to ARCP Panels, highlighting issues to be considered by the ARCP Panel.
  • Administer Trainee CCT date changes and inform relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update relevant databases.
  • Provide administrative support for Less than full time training (LTFTT) and Inter/Intra Deanery Transfers.
  • Coordinate Revalidation recommendations for GP trainees.

Requirements
  • 5 GCSES Grade A-C, including English and Maths, or equivalent.
  • Commitment to Professional Development.
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Administrative function or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of postgraduate medical specialty training and/or NHS recruitment processes.
  • Demonstrable experience of establishing administrative systems and procedures.
  • Experience of working to strict deadlines and handling confidential information.
  • Knowledge of data protection requirements and NHS employment law.
