Job Title: GP Training Administrator – Trainee Progression Specialist
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide comprehensive administrative support to the GP Training School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the GP Training Team in planning and delivering recruitment, ARCPs, and training processes for GP specialty trainees and GP trainers.
- Plan and deliver GP Induction and Refresher placements for qualified GPs wishing to return to work in the NHS.
- Work to strict deadlines and adhere to agreed national and local policies and processes for GP Training.
Requirements:
- Organize the administration of GP Trainee ARCP Panel dates.
- Screen GP trainee eportfolios prior to ARCP Panels, highlighting issues for consideration.
- Organize the administration of Trainee CCT date changes and inform relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain all relevant databases up to date.
- Provide administrative support for Out of Programme Applications, Less than full time training (LTFTT), Inter/Intra Deanery Transfers, Revalidation recommendations for GP trainees, and support referrals for trainees who fail exams.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across NHS Wales and partner organizations.
- Participate in a meaningful values-based performance appraisal process.
- Contribute to the development of a workforce that delivers excellent care to patients/service users and excellent population health.
