Are you passionate about empowering individuals in prison to develop their literacy skills? We are seeking a Literacy Programme Coordinator to join our team at Clinks, a leading organisation dedicated to addressing low literacy levels amongst people in prison. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading programme.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in prison settings, with strong relationships-building skills and a problem-solving approach. They will be able to work closely with prison staff, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors to maximise opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

We welcome applications from individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system. The successful candidate will require prison security clearance, but we do not routinely ask for details of any criminal convictions.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. Employee benefits include a company contribution to pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, life insurance, paid volunteering days and discounts via Reward Gateway.
