Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a compassionate Reception Pupil Mentor to join their team in Kendal. About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to deliver tailored support that fosters the child's development and inclusion in school life. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the pupil in accessing the curriculum, adapting resources as needed.
  • Encouraging the pupil's social and emotional development, fostering positive relationships with peers.
  • Implementing Individual Education Plan (IEP) targets and providing feedback to the SENCO and class teacher.
  • Working collaboratively with the school team and external agencies to provide the best possible support.

This role requires experience working with children with Down's syndrome or additional needs, along with a relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. The successful candidate will also have opportunities for professional development, making this a fulfilling career move for the right individual.

Salary: £15.55 per hour. Estimated annual salary: £32,062 - £36,892 based on 6 hours of work per day, Monday to Friday, term time only.
