About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Essex School Health Team as a School Nurse. We strive to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for children and families in the community, for the community, with the community.

You will work closely with our Multi-disciplinary team, including Health Visitors, School Nurses, Family Wellbeing Nurses, and other colleagues to deliver high-quality services. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To provide expert nursing advice and guidance to schools, parents, and carers.
  • To assess health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate packages of care for children and young people.
  • To lead on the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, ensuring the health and wellbeing needs of children are met.
  • To mentor and support new staff members, promoting excellence in care.
