Employee Relations Specialist - ER Advisor

About the Role

As an Employee Relations Specialist - ER Advisor at Primark, you will play a critical role in providing timely, practical, and proactive employee relations support and advice to the UK Retail Management teams. Your expertise will be essential in managing day-to-day ER cases and change management projects, ensuring compliance with legislative changes and providing great support to our colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters to the UK Retail Management teams, ensuring a fair and consistent approach to all cases.

• Partner with key stakeholders to support on ER related concerns within a defined geography, delivering great outcomes and bringing matters to a resolution.

• Be a trusted advisor, subject matter expert, and coach managers on all ER matters, ensuring they are equipped to support their teams effectively.

• Proactively stay up-to-date with all legislative changes that may impact the business, implementing these changes in a timely and efficient manner.

• Be at the forefront of any 'people' related projects, such as organizational design or change management, ensuring compliance and providing great support to our colleagues.

• Support on the management of any Employment Tribunals and Acas Early Conciliation claims, ensuring a fair and consistent approach to all cases.

Requirements

• Strong and demonstrable experience in Employee Relations in a fast-moving, multi-site organization, including practical experience in managing day-to-day ER cases and change management projects.

• Proven ability in handling sensitive matters while ensuring all information remains confidential to the business.

• Be a collaborative partner, demonstrating high levels of emotional intelligence with the ability to push back with professionalism.

• Be a great communicator (both written and oral) with the ability to coach and influence, having the respect of our Retail teams.

• Work well under pressure, be resilient, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
