Your Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will support the expansion of Descartes' corporate broker network in the UK market. Your responsibilities will include building strong relationships with brokers, developing and promoting the value proposition of Descartes' parametric products, and understanding market needs to generate business opportunities. You will also represent Descartes externally at industry meetings and events, develop sales and marketing strategies, and support UK colleagues with broker-facing materials.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require a minimum of 6 years of experience in the (re)insurance industry, with a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills. Fluency in English is essential, and a good command of one additional language is valued. You will be a results-oriented, self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for helping businesses and communities resilience to climate change.
