About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our community healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Care Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing person-centered care and support to patients, including:

  • General social interaction with patients, including talking, observing, and escalating concerns
  • Supporting patients with meals, including preparation and service
  • Assisting patients with personal care, utilizing a recovery/reablement ethos in all interactions
  • Supporting wider team members with domestic and housekeeping duties
  • Meeting and greeting patients and visitors
  • Putting away stock and supplies
  • Carrying out and supporting with other duties as required by trained and experienced staff
  • Reporting any concerns or issues to the manager in charge
  • Making and receiving telephone calls


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in care or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of experience in a care setting
