About the Job:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Bioanalytical Scientist to join our team at the Francis Crick Institute. The successful candidate will have a strong background in proteomics mass spectrometry and be able to work independently to drive forward qualitative and quantitative proteomic projects.

The role involves setting up new experiments as collaborative projects arise using the available mass spectrometry technologies to both qualitatively and quantitatively measure proteins. The successful candidate will be able to take initiative in project design and interact closely with collaborators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning of experiments, decision making about which pipeline to take, and independently executing experiments for projects.
  • Performing both standard and bespoke proteomics experiments starting with sample preparation from a variety of biological sources.
  • Laboratory operations management, including maintaining laboratory databases, ordering laboratory supplies, monitoring budgets, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
