The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the ecology team, engaging in protected species surveys and contributing to the sustainability of various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting protected species surveys
- Preparing tenders and formulating detailed fee quotations
- Generating technical documentation (including PEA reports, BNG reports, protected species reports, Habitat Management Plans, BREEAM reports, HRAs, and EcIAs) with guidance from senior ecologists
- Overseeing medium to large-scale projects while monitoring financial performance
Candidate Requirements:
- 2-3+ years of relevant industry experience
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
- Possession of at least one protected species license (preferred)
- A valid UK driving license
- In-depth knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and its practical application
- Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management membership is preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from £25,000 to £30,000 based on experience
- 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days
