About the Role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team at Ashley Park Care Home. As the chief fun officer, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant and joy-filled atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging activity plans that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Collaborate with care teams to ensure seamless delivery of activities and events.
  • Organize and lead morning and afternoon activity sessions, including arts and crafts, baking, book clubs, and more.
  • Liaise with external companies and performers to arrange days out and events at the home.
  • Provide one-to-one support to residents, using reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and conversation.
  • Support the home's social media channels as required.
Requirements

We are looking for a creative thinker with excellent communication skills, who can manage budgets and maintain paperwork effectively. You should be passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and have a sense of humour to share with our residents.
