About Us

Motorsport Hackers is a leading company in the field of Motorsport timing and data. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Support Technician to join our team.

About the Role

We are seeking an individual with excellent technical skills and experience in hardware maintenance and repair. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our timing and GPS systems are functioning correctly at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation, Installation, Maintenance, and Repair of Timing and GPS Systems: Our ideal candidate will have the necessary technical skills to prepare, install, maintain, and repair our timing and GPS systems.
  • Liaising with Venues: The successful candidate will need to liaise with venues to ensure that our equipment and timing infrastructure are in good working order.
  • Maintenance of Timing and GPS Systems: Our technician will be responsible for maintaining our timing and GPS systems to the highest standards, including calibration and certification of equipment.

Requirements

  • 2-3 Years' Experience in a Technical Environment: Our ideal candidate will have 2-3 years' experience in a technical environment, preferably in the motorsport industry.
  • Analytical and Fault-Finding Capability: Excellent analytical and fault-finding capability is essential for this role.
  • Good Practical Skills, Including Soldering: Our technician will need to have good practical skills, including soldering.
  • Good IT and Networking Skills: Good IT and networking skills, including the use of Microsoft Office products, are also required.

Working Time/Benefits:

The role is office-based at Tamworth with off-site work at race circuits repairing, installing timing & GPS systems, and supporting events as required.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary reflecting experience and qualifications, which we estimate to be around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. A company pension scheme is in operation, and the successful candidate will also be entitled to private health care. A company vehicle, laptop, and mobile phone will also be available for use on company business.
