Job Title: Sales Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Sales Executive to join our growing Logistics company based in Smethwick. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales through effective communication and relationship-building with clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Pallet Distribution or General Haulage industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct telemarketing activities to generate new leads and follow up on existing prospects.
  2. Cold calling new business leads in order to book meetings and win business.
  3. Attend new business development meetings.
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and personalised service.
  5. Utilise the CRM system to manage customer interactions, track sales progress, and report on performance metrics.
  6. Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for increasing market share and achieving sales targets.
  7. Provide product knowledge and support to clients, ensuring they are informed about the features and benefits of our offerings.
  8. Attend training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
  9. Participate in team meetings to share insights, discuss challenges, and celebrate successes.

Requirements:
  1. Must have excellent knowledge of background transport and logistics.
  2. Have good knowledge general haulage, pallet distribution and same day couriers and storage.
  3. Proven experience as a Sales Executive within pallets or an understanding.
  4. Familiarity with CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular).
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  6. Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain long-term relationships.
  7. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  8. Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
  9. Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
  10. Previous experience in booking meetings with potential clients.
  11. Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
  12. Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
  13. Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
  14. Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.
