Job Description

Job Title: Director of Finance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team at Friends of the Earth. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability of our organization and providing strategic oversight of our central services, including finance, IT, facilities, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, ensuring effective financial management and control
  • Oversee the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and laws
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement organizational strategies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial leadership and management, preferably in a non-profit or charitable organization
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
