Special Needs Education Support Professional

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Care Support Worker to join our team in a Special Needs School. As a highly skilled and experienced teaching assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with students at the primary, secondary, and post-16 levels, each with their own unique needs.
Your role will involve enhancing sensory awareness and refining motor skills, providing individualised care in accordance with care plans, teaching vocabulary and fostering speech and language development, and facilitating creative and engaging lessons such as art, cooking, music, and dance.
Key details of the position include:
- Full-time position: Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
- Contract: Secure a year-long contract with potential for extension
- One-to-One Support: Provide personalised support for students with diverse needs
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work alongside dedicated teachers and staff
- Residential Opportunities: Option to work in the school's residential centre for a more immersive experience
Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
