Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trust Registrar to join our Orthopaedic team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with orthopaedic and medical conditions.

Main Responsibilities

The postholder will work as a member of the Orthopaedic team, collaborating with F1 trainees, SHOs, ST registrars, and consultant staff to ensure excellent patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in ward rounds and assisting with the management of patients with peri-operative complications
  • Guiding junior doctors in the team and contributing to the weekly outpatient clinic
  • Participating in regular audits, including the National Fracture Neck of Femur database
  • Being an active member of the teaching and training in the departments of Orthopaedics and Department of Medicine for Older People

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • MBBS (or equivalent) and full registration with GMC
  • Part 2 MRCP UK (or equivalent) at the expected start date of the post
  • Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates, and junior medical staff

Desirable qualifications include full MRCP UK (or equivalent), MD, PhD, or equivalent, and evidence of ongoing interest and achievement in research.
