About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to lead our Street Homelessness Accommodation Team at Enfield Council. As a key member of our Housing Advisory Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to rough sleepers in our housing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the Street Homelessness Accommodation Team to deliver exceptional support services to clients with multiple and complex needs.
  • Ensure Accommodation Support Practitioners provide proactive support to clients, helping them access and maintain accommodation in projects like Housing First, Dispersed Accommodation, and Shared Accommodation.
  • Contribute to managing Enfield's Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme Revenue contract, including developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure support work complies with legislation and policies through effective supervision, guidance, and support.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve outcomes and foster formal relationships like SLAs and contract management.
  • Contribute to the broader Housing Advisory Service and Sustainable Housing Service, ensuring the effective delivery of housing and homelessness strategies and policies.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in homelessness services, including setting up new teams, managing large contracts, and supported housing projects.
  • Knowledgeable in welfare, housing, homelessness policy, and related legislation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Social Care, and Equality policies.
  • Behaviors aligned with responsibility, openness, respect, listening, learning, and collaborative working.
  • Highly educated with evidence of continuous professional development.
