Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team based in Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing concrete plants and wash plants across the region, ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and Coordinate Maintenance: Repair and maintain all fixed plant and machinery, including concrete plants, quarry processing plants, conveyor systems, and hydraulic equipment.
- Welding and Fabrication: Possess welding skills, including Arc and Mig, to repair and fabricate plant equipment.
- Supervision and Leadership: Provide supervision and guidance to others, ensuring the safe and effective execution of maintenance tasks.
- Site Management: Assist the area management team in scheduling maintenance and repairs, managing site defect logs, and eliminating preventable plant breakdowns.
- Supply Chain Management: Ensure cost-effective and timely ordering and supply of spares and critical equipment.
- Health and Safety: Conduct risk assessments and associated paperwork to ensure a safe system of work, adhering to company health and safety policies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaise daily with management and plant operations teams to identify repair and maintenance requirements, and provide flexibility to undertake emergency repairs.
- Qualifications: Completed a recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
- Experience: Essential experience working on heavy plant, fixed, and/or mobile equipment, with previous experience as a mechanical fitter in a similar role.
- Skills: Flexible, proactive, and hands-on approach to work, with effective communication, problem-solving, and IT skills.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to work confidently and courteously with customers and colleagues at all levels, with a commitment to the company's zero-harm culture.
