Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team based at West Deeping, Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing concrete plants and wash plants across Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, and associated plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and coordinate the repair and maintenance of fixed plant and machinery, including concrete plant, quarry processing plants, conveyor systems, and hydraulic equipment.
- Provide supervision and guidance to others and third-party contractors assisting in the works being carried out.
- Assist the area management team in programming scheduled maintenance and repair aligned to production requirements and manage site defect logs.
- Eliminate preventable plant breakdowns and ensure cost-effective and timely ordering and supply of spares and critical equipment.
- Undertake risk assessments and associated paperwork to ensure a suitable and effective safe system of work.
- Liaise daily with management and plant operations teams to ascertain repair and maintenance requirements.
- Completed a recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
- Essential experience working on heavy plant, fixed, and/or mobile equipment.
- Previous experience as a mechanical fitter in a similar role, with a flexible, proactive, and hands-on approach to work.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and IT skills, with the ability to work confidently and courteously with customers and colleagues at every level.
