About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automation Development Team Lead to lead our team in delivering high-quality automation solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness across the Scottish Government and wider public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of automation solutions using a variety of methods, including process optimisation techniques and LEAN/agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and end-users to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Oversee the design, build, testing, and deployment of automation process solutions, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to best practices.
  • Manage obstacles and balance multiple priorities to improve system robustness, resilience, and stability.
  • Work with the technical architect and senior management team to formulate long-term development strategy and ensure quality assurance.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and engagement, encouraging and facilitating continuous improvement.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in automation development and leadership.
  • Strong technical skills, including process optimisation techniques and LEAN/agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
