About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Estates and Facilities team at The Bedford College Group. As a Facilities Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing a range of services to support the delivery of our educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide security, portering, maintenance, and ground maintenance services to ensure the overall environment supports the aims and visions of the Bedford College Group.
- Conduct health and safety testing, driving, and cleaning duties as required.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain a basic level of health and safety knowledge.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
About You:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn and develop their skills. You will have:
- A willingness to undertake relevant training and development opportunities.
- Experience of working with the public and young people.
- Basic knowledge of working within written procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to work on own initiative and support team members.
- Ability to defuse potentially difficult situations in a calm and appropriate manner.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Current clean valid full driving licence.
- Access to a vehicle and ability to work at all College sites.
