As a Facilities Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing a range of services to support the delivery of our educational programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide security, portering, maintenance, and ground maintenance services to ensure the overall environment supports the aims and visions of the Bedford College Group.
  • Conduct health and safety testing, driving, and cleaning duties as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a basic level of health and safety knowledge.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

About You:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn and develop their skills. You will have:

  • A willingness to undertake relevant training and development opportunities.
  • Experience of working with the public and young people.
  • Basic knowledge of working within written procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and support team members.
  • Ability to defuse potentially difficult situations in a calm and appropriate manner.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Current clean valid full driving licence.
  • Access to a vehicle and ability to work at all College sites.
