We are seeking a highly skilled Health Safety Specialist to join our team in Lincoln, Lincolnshire. This permanent full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact on our organization's health and safety performance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of our Health and Safety strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of excellence within the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Coordinate risk assessments and develop Safe Systems of Work to minimize hazards and ensure employee safety.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and maintain accurate records of compliance activities.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate training programs for employees on health and safety best practices, and provide support for mandatory training initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance overall health and safety performance.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • GCSEs in Math & English at Grade C or Equivalent.
  • NVQ level 3 in Occupational H&S would be desirable, but not essential.
  • IOSH Managing Safety certification is essential.
  • Previous experience working in health, safety, and environmental topics would be desirable.
