Job Title: ERTMS Trainer

Colas Rail UK is seeking a highly experienced ERTMS Trainer to join our team. As an ERTMS Trainer, you will be responsible for managing ERTMS safety-critical training and competency within our Rail Services division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage training and competency assessment regimes, including risk management and safety performance monitoring.
  • Ensure effective systems are in place to manage freight and artisan competencies.
  • Coordinate training and re-certification of artisans and freight drivers.
  • Maintain the staff competency database.
  • Develop training and assessment documentation.
  • Assist with technical, safety, and incident investigations as required.
  • Analyze, forecast, plan, and monitor the competency management system.
  • Attend meetings as business requirements.
  • Lead and participate in safety meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Be a widely experienced railway person with an excellent knowledge of freight operation.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge in rail industry standards relating to ERTMS, including operational safety, and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Hold Trainer, Assessor Qualifications.
  • Be willing to undertake further training as the post dictates.
  • Have excellent communication skills and organizational ability.
  • Have excellent IT skills and experience in administration organization.
  • Hold a UK driving license.
