About the Role

Casio Computer Co., Ltd. is a leading multinational electronics company seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our retail leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring our team of Retail Brand Advisors to achieve sales excellence and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Knowledge and Sales: Be fully conversant with our retail selling skills and Casio stock in terms of product knowledge, ranges available, and technical information.
  • Team Management: Support the store and team to achieve sales, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business profit.
  • Customer Service: Be a driving force for excellence in customer service, consistently looking for ways to improve with the team.
  • Brand Marketing and Partnerships: Support the Brand Marketing & Partnerships Manager to ensure the smooth running of weekly/monthly brand initiatives, such as G-SHOCK Radio and G-SHOCK Sessions.
  • Social Media and Marketing: Work with the store team to support updates on our social media channels and assist in sell-through and awareness of products and events.
  • Team Development: Support the Store Manager to develop and manage a highly effective team through engaging communication, coaching, and training.
  • Operations and Security: Manage and control all costs, stock, cash, and security procedures, maintaining necessary safeguards to protect company assets.
  • Health and Safety: Be aware of your responsibilities under the Health and Safety Act, including fire safety checks, accident reporting, and hazard awareness.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure all deliveries are accurately checked and discrepancies are reported to Head Office.
  • Event Management: Assist with the organisation of in-store events and brand activations to drive footfall to the store.
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure high standards of housekeeping in all areas of the store, including the sales floor, stockroom, and staff areas.
  • Team Appearance and Hygiene: Ensure the team adheres to high standards of appearance and hygiene in accordance with company policy.
  • Coverage and Support: Provide both management and staff cover in the store as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Essential: Flexibility - the store is open Monday to Sunday, so you need to be able to work retail hours and shifts.
  • Essential: Proven experience (minimum 6 months) as a supervisor or assistant manager in a retail environment involving team management.
  • Desirable: Ability to speak an additional language as well as fluent English.
  • Desirable: Photography, design skills, and passion for social media.
