Job Description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Opals Group, you will be responsible for leading the cost management and contractual aspects of our projects, providing strategic advice on cost planning and procurement strategies to optimize project outcomes. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that contracts are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as client specifications, and that costs are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of accurate cost estimates and detailed project budgets for projects, considering all relevant factors, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Monitor project costs closely, identifying areas for cost savings and implementing measures to mitigate risks and minimize costs.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favorable outcomes for the project.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors, providing guidance and support as needed.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within budgetary constraints, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results. In this role, you will develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of risks on project outcomes and provide leadership and guidance to junior quantity surveyors.
