We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to support students with Special Educational Needs in a mainstream secondary school in Bodmin. The successful candidate will work closely with the school's SENCO to provide tailored support and ensure students receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEND, including identifying their needs and coordinating provision with the SENCO.
  • Work with the SENCO to secure relevant services and ensure records are maintained and up-to-date.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/carers and liaise with relevant agencies regarding student admissions.
  • Line manage the Family Support Worker and provide intimate care for pupils with medical/care needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEN, preferably within a UK setting.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
