Special Educational Needs Assistant

About the Role:
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at a school in a new location. This role is ideal for individuals committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEN through one-to-one and group interventions, helping to engage them in learning and personal development.
- Work closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to implement effective support strategies and foster an encouraging learning environment.
- Assist with day-to-day activities, academic tasks, and behavioural interventions to support students' progress.
Requirements:
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car (preferred)
- Availability for a full-time role, ideally starting immediately
- Previous experience in a SEN role or working with children with additional needs is advantageous
- Strong communication, patience, empathy, and adaptability are essential for supporting SEN students effectively
