Learning Mentor for Students with Autism

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to support individuals with autism at ClassRoom Support. The ideal candidate will create an inclusive and supportive environment for learners with diverse needs.
Responsibilities
* Develop personalized learning plans for students with autism, tailored to their specific needs and learning styles
* Provide one-on-one support to students, assisting with academic, social, and emotional development
* Create and facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators and families to enhance understanding and support for students with autism
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience working with individuals with autism
* Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and best practices for supporting individuals with diverse learning needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students and their families
* Relevant certifications and/or training in special education or autism support services is advantageous
Day-to-Day Activities
* Work directly with students to support their learning and social/emotional development
* Collaborate with teachers to create inclusive learning environments
* Track student progress and adapt support strategies as needed
* Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student development
* Lead workshops and training sessions for educators and families on autism awareness and support strategies
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year based on location and experience.
