Job Description: Mentor for Disadvantaged Youth

About the Role:
Teach360 is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mentor for Disadvantaged Youth to join our team in a Secondary School in Lewisham. As a member of our team, you will provide individualised support to students with challenging behaviour or complex needs, focusing on their academic and behavioural development. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students and contribute to the success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies that promote positive relationships and academic achievement.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, such as poor attendance or low self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Organise and lead community events that promote positive relationships between students, staff, and the wider community.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in behaviour management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with young people. Physical Intervention/Team Teach training is desirable but not mandatory. In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
