The Job

We are seeking a talented Teaching Assistant for SEN to join our team in Watford. As a key member of our educational support staff, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with SEN, ensuring they receive tailored assistance to thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to accommodate unique learning styles.
  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing special education plans and strategies designed to meet each student's needs.
  • Collaborate closely with SENCOs and school staff to develop and implement personalised learning goals and interventions.
  • Assist with sensory integration techniques and other therapeutic interventions as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the academic and social development of students with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
