Job Opportunity for Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at a leading healthcare provider in the Hatfield, Hertfordshire area. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure seamless handovers to colleagues, including out-of-hours coverage
  • Conduct thorough mental state reviews in accordance with hospital procedures
  • Perform comprehensive physical health screens for patients, including physical examinations, ECGs, and blood tests
  • Lead the management of physical health concerns that arise during inpatient stays
  • Collaborate with other professionals and family members to gather collateral history
  • Prepare timely discharge letters, reports, and s62 forms as required
  • Assist with mental health review tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearing reports under the supervision of a Consultant
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists
  • Accreditation or pending accreditation in Forensic psychiatry with the GMC
  • Recent appraisal or RITA within the last year
Benefits:
