About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join our team at Coventry City Council. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting our managers and employees to achieve our organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on employment law, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of organisational change initiatives, including TUPE and disciplinary procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including managers, trade unions, and external partners.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and systems.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that support our organisational goals.
Requirements
  • Relevant HR experience, preferably in a generalist or specialist role, gained in a large complex organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • A proactive and can-do attitude, with a track record of successfully applying HR best practice and employment law knowledge.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards this.
