An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Education Leader to join MidKent College's Higher Education provision.

We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary leader to lead and manage our IoT education provision, developing and implementing innovative employer-led curricula in the construction and engineering fields.

The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent leadership and management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality education. They will be able to motivate and inspire their team to achieve their full potential, while also being accountable for the overall performance of the curriculum team.

About the Role
  • Lead the curriculum team in the preparation, development, and implementation of curriculum, teaching, and learning delivery plans for the designated curriculum specialism, in accordance with the strategic plan set for the College.
  • Monitor student attendance, retention, achievement, and progress against student starting points, developing and implementing strategies to assist teaching staff in the achievement of key performance indicators.
  • Lead on the quality assurance of teaching and learning for the curriculum across the Institute and/or related courses across the College, assessing and driving quality improvements.
  • Manage all designated staff, taking responsibility for allocation of duties, performance, absence management, and the cost-effective use of overtime.
  • Develop, design, and implement an innovative employer-led curriculum in the construction and engineering fields working alongside the curriculum team, apprenticeship team, and validating universities.
