We are seeking a highly skilled HR Advisor to join our People team at B&M Retail.

This generalist role will provide effective and efficient HR advice to Managers and support employee relations issues for our Distribution Centre colleagues.

As an HR Advisor, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our HR systems and practices, working closely with the People Business Partner and Management team to support a culture aligned to our values.

The role will involve employee relations, employment law, contracts, disciplinary procedures, grievances, sickness, absence, and performance management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality HR advice to Managers and employees
  • Supporting employee relations issues and resolving conflicts
  • Contributing to the development of HR policies and procedures
  • Working closely with the People Business Partner and Management team to achieve business objectives
  • Providing training and development opportunities for colleagues

Requirements:

  • High volume ER experience, ideally with a warehouse/logistics background
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Great time management and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience of working within a unionised environment
  • Self-motivated and driven
