Technical Support Engineer

**Job Summary**

Tiger Resourcing Group is seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding team. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for passenger information systems used in public transport.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Attend customer sites across the UK to perform installations, repairs, and upgrades of equipment.
* Answer technical queries via email, phone, and video conferencing platforms.
* Configure equipment and prepare media content using bespoke software tools.
* Collaborate with sales, R&D, and production teams to resolve issues and improve product performance.
* Provide first-line support on products, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
* Deliver training to customers on in-house software and hardware solutions.
* Participate in team meetings and occasional travel to the head office in Lewes.

**Requirements**

* Experience in repairing electrical and electronic devices.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad.
* Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office packages.
* Familiar with networking and serial protocols.
* A well-organized approach to tasks, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Comfortable with overnight stays away from home when required.
* Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
* Understanding of electrical and electronic system design.
* Previous technical support experience, especially in the public transport or manufacturing sectors.
