Amentum is a leading global technical and engineering services partner with a rich history of delivering exceptional results in highly regulated industries. We are now seeking a highly skilled Lead Architectural Engineer to join our team on a major project located in Warrington.

Job Summary

The Lead Architectural Engineer will be responsible for a range of engineering tasks during the initial planning and design phase of projects. Working under the direction of the Project Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate with other disciplines, project support groups, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications, conduct analyses, perform testing, and maintain related data.
  2. Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
  3. Prepare and review drawings as required.
  4. Advise the Lead Project Engineer on the status of assignments regarding schedule, delays, and adverse problems.
  5. Ensure the quality, quantity, and completeness of assigned engineering tasks.
  6. Plan and schedule engineering efforts associated with assigned projects.
  7. Provide timely and accurate oral and written technical reports on assigned engineering activities.
  8. Maintain proper engineering files and records.
  9. Understand and utilize computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments.
  10. Continuously upgrade technical knowledge and capabilities and pursue additional training.
  11. Express ideas clearly and listen effectively to the ideas of others.
  12. Familiar with codes, permits, and company cornerstone applications.
  13. Familiar with the work sequence, general content, and methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of materials, equipment, systems, services, or construction within the engineer’s discipline.
  14. Able to read and understand construction drawings.
  15. Able to fully integrate constructability concerns into engineering solutions.
  16. Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  1. Hold a degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.
  2. Have previous experience in highly regulated industries.
  3. Proven experience in delivering projects with a value of over £1 million.
  4. Proven excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  5. Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment, with previous experience of managing high-value projects.
  6. Proven knowledge of nuclear site decommissioning and waste management.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
