About the Role

We are looking for a Primary School Teaching and Learning Support Professional to join our team at Teaching Personnel.

This role involves working one-to-one with pupils who require additional support due to social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) related challenges.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to adapt lesson content and create a supportive learning environment.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Safeguarding the welfare and well-being of children
  2. Providing individualised support and interventions to meet pupils' needs
  3. Collaborating with teachers and other staff to promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience
  4. Supporting individuals during unstructured times, such as lunch and break times
  5. Encouraging social interaction with other pupils
Requirements
  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics as a minimum
  • Desirable but not essential: relevant qualifications
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced DBS checks

  • Previous experience working with SEMH needs or other behavioural needs
  • A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits

Estimated salary: £82,880 - £108,000 per annum, based on 37.5 hours per week.
