Purpose of Job:
This is an opportunity to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities, planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, monitoring pupils, and assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress, and development.
Responsibilities:
- Management and development of a specialist area within the school
- Addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning
- Management of other teaching assistants, including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal, and training
Requirements:
An enthusiastic individual with a desire to support, stimulate, nurture, and enable the development of all children, ready to tailor teaching and monitor progress so that every child achieves.
Working Conditions:
Full-time, 39 weeks per year (during school terms), NJC Scale 6 - points 18 to 20 (£34,770 to £35,862 per annum) - pro rata for part-year working.
Estimated salary: £30,000-£33,000 per annum based on experience.
