We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Assistant to join our team at Hackett London (Office). As a key member of our Merchandising department, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and distribution of products, ensuring accurate stock levels, and analyzing sales trends to anticipate future product needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend weekly trade meetings to assist in making key business decisions.
  • Provide weekly summaries of key performance indicators, including sales, stock, margin, and markdown vs department targets.
  • Analyze past sales figures and trends to anticipate future product needs.
  • Define the correct replenishment plan to ensure accurate assortments.
  • Report on lessons learned from key seasonal promotions or marketing campaigns.
  • Maximize stock efficiencies and commitment flow to allow for maximum profit.
  • Communicate frequently with stores staff to achieve objectives and coordinate operational processes.
  • Partner with the Allocation team to control inventory levels, allocations, and replenishment.
  • Participate in regular store visits to ensure all department KPIs are met.
  • Manage line card and perform ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Assist in seasonal buys, supporting analysis and key product selection for the retail business.
  • Provide historical analysis for Seasonal Planning Forecasts in support of strategies employed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, especially adeptness in data manipulation using Excel, is essential.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
